For clients that need experienced and specialized legal staff however are limited by budget or organization rule to add headcount or are unable to find the right candidate to fill in the relevant legal position within their organization, retainer legal services should become the answer. 
Depending on clients’ needs, on how many legal personnel, hours needed per week or month, the expertise and specialization and the length of services, we try our best to accommodate clients’ needs.

In providing retainer legal services, we normally send our lawyers to clients’ offices to help clients’ management or legal team with the day-to-day legal matters of clients or companies that they are assigned to. 
 

Their scope of work would normally from A to Z which include:

  • Providing general legal advice;
  • Carrying out legal audit over the companies’ compliance with prevailing laws and regulations;
  • Reviewing and commenting as well as preparing template of operation contracts and employment contracts;
  • Corporate secretarial services which covers the preparation shareholders, board of directors and board of commissioners’ meeting announcements and minutes, liaising with public notaries for the restatement of shareholders meetings into notarial deed form, obtaining MOLHR approvals, filing and obtaining necessary licence such as Business Licence;
  • Reviewing and providing advice on non-compliance of companies;
  • Reviewing and providing advice on companies’ internal policy (such as the implementation of anti-bribery code of conduct); and
  • Handling and monitoring dispute or litigation cases involving companies

 

We also offer hybrid retainer legal services which allow clients to send their legal staff to be trained by us. In the implementation of these services, the legal staff sent by clients will do the day-to-day legal matters of her/his employer/companies with close supervision from our lawyers. At the end of the services period, we will give feedback to both legal staff and clients on things that need to be improved and have been improved.
