Justikarini Sormin is the founder of NAWASENA Counsellors at Law.

Before establishing NAWASENA Counsellors at Law, she spent almost three years as General Counsel of a gold mining company, PT Nusa Halmahera Minerals. During her tenure as General Counsel, her commercial and business senses were shaped and her ability to provide legal practical and creative solutions were being challenged overtime.

 

Before deciding to plunge into an in-house world, she practiced as a corporate lawyer for around 12 years in Indonesian top-tier law firms, Ali Budiardjo Nugroho Reksodiputro (ABNR) Counsellors at Law and Hiswara Bunjamin & Tandjung (in association with Herbert Smith Freehills). During her stint as corporate lawyer, she got experience representing major clients in various sectors.

Her mixed experience between private practice and in-house has shaped her to become a dynamic and commercial-minded lawyer who is well-placed to offer her clients with creative and practical legal solutions.

She holds her Bachelor of Law (S.H.) from Padjadjaran University with cum laude predicate. She also holds Lex Legibus Master (LL.M.) in Oil, Gas, and Mining Law from Nottingham Law School, United Kingdom.

 

She is a member of PERADI (Indonesian Advocate Association).
